Solvent based Adhesives
Solvent-based adhesives are a made of rubber (neoprene, nitrile, SBR, etc.) dissolved in a mixture of organic solvents.
These adhesives, known as “contact glues”, are mainly used for bonding large surfaces, on many types of materials (rubber, fabrics, wood, plastics, etc.).
After applying the adhesive on both parts to be assembled, we have to wait for the solvents to evaporate (drying time),then firmly press the two parts together to obtain immediate and definitive adhesion.
