UD or Unidirectional fabrics Porcher Industries, are fabrics whose reinforcement is constituted by only parallel threads in the direction of the warp, and held together by a thin thread in the direction of the weft. UD fabrics are used for longitudinal reinforcements, generally applied in several plys, they also make it possible to optimize the placement of the reinforcements as a function of the desired axes of mechanical resistance. Their low rate of embossing pemettent a high rate of resin in the composite.
