Contact oils are used for

lubricating push/pull connectors,
lubricating low contact pressure contactors,
impregnating carbon/brushes of electric motors,
lubricating micro-switches,
lubricating high current switches,
lubricating low current switches and contacts, or for lubricating sensors.
