Safer primer for Bostik’s Born2Bond range of cyanoacrylates

What is Born2Bond™ Primer used for?

Born2Bond™ Primer is used on polyolefin and other low surface energy substrates to make them suitable for bonding with cyanoacrylate adhesives. It is only recommended for difficult-to-bond substrates, which include polyethylene, polypropylene, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and thermoplastic rubber materials. Born2Bond™ Primer is not recommended in assemblies where high peel strength is required.

Continuous improvement

Bostik continues to improve its advanced range of cyanoacrylates in terms of performance and safety. The formulation of the primer for difficult plastics has been significantly optimised without compromising performance. The result is a reduction in safety pictograms to just two.

New Born2Bond™ Primer safety pictograms

This makes it easier for customers to use cyanoacrylates, even on difficult plastics such as PP/PE, without introducing toxic products into factories and workshops. With Bostik’s Born2Bond range of hazard-free cyanoacrylates, users can work in a safer environment.
